Neil started the JICN PhD programme at CNC in October 2011, previously having studied in Trinity College Dublin (MSc.) and University College Dublin (BA Psych).  Neil's general area of interest is rehabilitation techniques for cognitive deficit following brain injury, using electrophysiology to index change.  Neil is currently working on (1) compensatory rehabilitation for homogeneous visual field defects following striate or extra-striate lesions, using multi-sensory integration training (2) restorative rehabilitation for partially recovered post-lesion cortical blindness, using psycho-physical assessment and training procedures (3) electrophysiological evidence for a sub-cortical pathway processing fearful stimuli in humans
