Rehabilitation of spatial disorders (neglect and optic ataxia) |
Neglect is a multicomponential syndrome, whereby several deficits interact (visual spatial attention, ocular-motor system, proprioception and motor control).
Optic Ataxia is a disorder in programming upper limb movements toward a visual stimulus, in the absence of primary motor or sensorial deficits, that account for the symptoms.Rehabilitation of optic ataxia consists in a pointing training performed with the upper limb toward visual stimuli, also with the use of prismatic lens. |
