Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation of memory deficits

(LINK ARTICOLO )

Brain damage often causes memory deficits. Memory is a multicomponential system, involving both processes mediating the short-term maintenance and manipulation of information, and processes needed for the long-term storage of information.

Rehabilitative programs for memory rehabilitation include:

  • Rehabilitation of working memory (e.g., PASAT);
  • Acquisition of strategies for the elaboration and organization of memoranda;
  • Acquisition of strategies for long term retention of memoranda.
